**Job Summary**
Join our Finance Data and Analytics team as we develop an agile and scalable self-serve Data Science Platform. You will collaborate with the Director of Finance Data and Analytics to expose productivity tools and key Finance data connections to end users, ultimately saving costs and empowering CFO teams with powerful analytics capabilities. In this role, you will become a Finance expert on our toolsets while gaining insights on data points to help users with optimal sourcing options. You will also work on specific projects to expedite the time to market on key automations and builds for Finance groups.

**Job Description**
**What will you do?**
- Analyze, design, and implement data science solutions using RBC’s suite of analytics tools such as Data360 Analyze and Dataiku.
- Build models to test business hypotheses and prepare large and varied datasets.
- Collaborate with business partners to derive insights from defined requirements and hypotheses.
- Communicate findings effectively to business partners.
- Utilize advanced visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) to create impactful representations of results.
- Analyze processes, gather requirements, and seek solutions for improvement.
- Build and oversee the automation process, including UAT, implementation, warranty support, and handover to business as usual.
- Support pre-existing automations and models as necessary.

**What do you need to succeed?**
**Must-have:**
- Enrollment in a Canadian post-secondary institution focusing on Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science.
- Programming skills and fundamental knowledge of Python, Java, and SQL, alongside proficiency in standard PC software (e.g., Excel).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and logical thinking skills.
- Capability to perform complex data analyses on large datasets and present findings effectively.
- Knowledge and experience in the design, development, and implementation of data science technologies.
- Quick adaptability to new concepts.
- Good organizational, coordination, written, and interpersonal skills.

**Nice-to-have:**
- Familiarity with data extract, transform, and load processes involving various data types.
- Experience with big data technologies, such as Hadoop, SQL databases, and Apache Spark.
- Experience with Data360 Analyze, Dataiku, and Tableau.

**Eligibility Requirements:**
Candidates must be returning to school after the work term or require the full work term as a mandatory component to graduate successfully.
