**Job Summary**
Are you interested in the opportunity to work as a Data Reporting Student at RBC? You will be working with HR Talent Services teams to gather requirements, build and manage performance dashboards.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Utilize Tableau to build reporting for Talent Services dashboard.
- Assist in gathering requirements from Talent Services partners.
- Manage dashboard uploads to Tableau server, ensure smooth data extract refreshes, and provision access to the server.
- Create Talent Services reporting map, including HR system architecture, points of data collection/warehousing, and data visualizations.
- Identify gaps or inefficiencies.

**What You Will Do**
- Analyze, design, deliver, and implement analytic development projects using RBC’s analytics tools.
- Ensure project activities are accomplished within approved time frames, scope, and budgets.
- Apply data warehouse concepts and methodologies to various projects.
- Utilize the latest technologies to design and build data solutions to meet business needs.
- Actively contribute to your individual team and the RBC community.
- Seek out better ways to perform tasks, including new tools, technologies, and processes.
- Work on transformational projects delivering new value.
- Collaborate with an agile team responsible for end-to-end delivery of business needs.
- Utilize business domain knowledge to independently lead the analytics process and identify valuable insights.
- Promote analytics across the enterprise to enable RBC to become a data-driven organization.

**What You Need to Succeed**
**Must-Have:**
- Currently enrolled at a Canadian post-secondary institution focusing on data science, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or machine learning.
- Leadership acumen with a passion for applying it in a dynamic business environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Creative and analytical thinker, self-driven, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience or understanding of open-source software frameworks (Hadoop), data visualization tools (Tableau and Splunk), and databases (SQL and/or VBA).
- Programming skills in one or more languages (e.g., Python, R).
- Ability to extract, transform, and load data processes with various data types.
- Capability to perform complex data analysis on large volumes of data and present findings to stakeholders.
- Strong MS Office skills – Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.

**Nice-to-Have:**
- Proficient in building statistical and algorithmic models with complex and large datasets, including but not limited to supervised statistical learning, clustering, natural language processing, recommendation systems, time-series analysis, experimental design (A/B testing), data visualization, and deep learning.
- Knowledge of design, development, and implementation utilizing current analytics technologies and architecture, as well as data warehouse concepts and methodologies.
- Relational database concepts and design experience.
- Ability to learn and absorb new concepts quickly and apply new knowledge effectively.

**Eligibility Requirements**
This posting is for a 4-month Summer 2025 Student placement, starting in May 2025 and ending in August 2025. To be eligible, you must:
- Be returning to school after the work term ending in August 2025; or
- If graduating in August 2025, require the full 4-month work term as a mandatory component to graduate successfully.

**Location**
This role requires the successful candidate to be located within Ontario during the work term.
