**Job Description**
This posting is for a 4-month Summer 2025 STUDENT placement with a start date of May 2025 and an end date of August 2025. To be eligible for this position, you must either:
- Be returning to school after the work term end-date of August 2025, or
- If you are not returning to school (i.e., graduating in April 2025 or August 2025), you must require the work term as a mandatory component to graduate successfully.

**Opportunity Overview**
Within RBC’s Personal & Commercial Operations (PCO), the Operations Centres deliver best-in-class service across all business lines, including Business Lending, Personal Lending, Specialized Services, and Transaction Services. Our goal is to meet client commitments, improve productivity, and create a superior client experience. This role serves as a great foundation for understanding banking and can springboard into other opportunities within PCO and RBC.
You will work as part of an experienced Data and Analytics team that supports these businesses through analytics and insights to manage business priorities.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Utilize data and analytics skills to assist business teams in understanding trends, solving problems, and supporting decision-making.
- Collaborate with data partners to enhance visualization, data availability, and automate reporting needs.
- Develop reports using tools such as Tableau to meet business and financial imperatives.
- Participate in meetings to gather and document business requirements.
- Support business and product teams with data-driven insights.
- Work in an agile setting, supporting Kanban board updates, stand-ups, and meetings.
**Qualifications**
**Must-have:**
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Proficient in programming languages such as SQL and Python.
- Strong MS Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating ownership.
- Capacity to learn quickly and apply new concepts in business and systems.
- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking.
- Proficiency in data extraction, transformation, and loading processes across various data types.
- Attention to detail with strong process management and multitasking skills.
- Ability to tell compelling stories using data and derive insights.
**Nice to have:**
- Bilingualism in English and French (written and spoken).
- Previous experience with RBC or Banking Operations systems.
- Knowledge of current analytics technologies and data warehouse concepts.
