**What is the Opportunity?**
RBC is seeking a Data Student for a 12-month co-op term. By applying, you will be considered for multiple roles across RBC Technology & Operations, including positions like Data Analyst and Data Scientist. Please apply only if you are eligible to complete a full 12-month co-op term.

**What Will You Do?**
- Analyze, design, deliver, and implement analytic development projects using RBC’s analytics tools.
- Ensure project activities are accomplished within approved time frames, scope, and budgets.
- Apply data warehouse concepts and methodologies to various projects.
- Utilize the latest technologies to design and build data solutions that meet business needs.
- Contribute actively to your team and the RBC development community.
- Seek better ways to improve processes, tools, technologies.
- Work on transformational projects delivering new value.
- Collaborate as part of an agile team responsible for end-to-end delivery of business needs.
- Leverage business domain knowledge to lead the analytics process independent of others and identify innovative insights.
- Promote analytics across the enterprise to support RBC's data-driven initiatives.

**What Do You Need to Succeed?**
**Must-have:**
- Currently enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution with a focus on data science, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or machine learning.
- Leadership skills and a passion for applying them in a business environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Creative and analytical thinker who can work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience or understanding of open-source software frameworks (e.g., Hadoop), data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Splunk), and databases (e.g., SQL, VBA).
- Programming skills in languages such as Python or R.
- Ability to extract, transform, and load data with various data types.
- Proficient in performing complex data analysis on large data volumes and presenting findings.

**Nice-to-have:**
- Experience building statistical and algorithmic models with large datasets (e.g., supervised statistical learning, clustering, natural language processing).
- Knowledge of analytics technologies and data warehouse concepts.
- Experience with relational database design.
- Ability to learn quickly and apply new concepts effectively.
