As a Data Student at RBC, you will have the chance to work in various roles, including Data Analyst and Data Scientist, across RBC Technology & Operations.

**What will you do?**
- Analyze, design, deliver, and implement analytic development projects using RBC’s analytics tools.
- Ensure project activities are completed within approved time frames, scope, and budgets.
- Apply data warehouse concepts and methodologies.
- Utilize the latest technologies to design and build data solutions that meet business needs.
- Contribute to your team and the RBC development community.
- Seek out improvements, new tools, and technologies.
- Work on transformational projects that deliver new value.
- Collaborate as part of an agile team for end-to-end business needs delivery.
- Use business domain knowledge to lead the analytics process for valuable insights.
- Promote analytics to enable RBC to become a data-driven organization.

**What do you need to succeed?**
**Must-have:**
- Enrollment in a Canadian post-secondary institution focusing on data science, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or machine learning.
- Leadership qualities and a passion for dynamic business environments.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Creative and analytical thinker capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience or understanding of open-source software frameworks (Hadoop), data visualization tools (Tableau, Splunk), and SQL/VBA databases.
- Programming skills in Python, R, or other languages.
- Experience with data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
- Ability to perform complex data analysis and present findings to stakeholders.
- Strong MS Office skills.

**Nice-to-have:**
- Proficiency in statistical and algorithmic modeling with complex datasets.
- Knowledge of current analytics technologies and data warehouse concepts.
- Experience in relational database design.
- Ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts.
