**What is the opportunity?**
Join RBC as a Data Student for an 8-month co-op opportunity. You will be considered for multiple roles within RBC Technology & Operations, including Data Analyst and Data Scientist. Please apply only if you are eligible to complete a full 8-month co-op term with your school.

**What will you do?**
- Analyze, design, deliver, and implement analytic development projects using RBC’s analytics tools.
- Ensure project activities are accomplished within approved time frames, scopes, and budgets.
- Apply data warehouse concepts and methodologies to various projects.
- Utilize the latest technologies to design and build data solutions that meet business needs.
- Contribute actively to your team and the RBC development community.
- Seek out better processes, tools, and technologies.
- Work on transformational projects that deliver new value.
- Collaborate as part of an agile team responsible for end-to-end delivery of business needs.
- Independently lead the analytics process to identify valuable insights.
- Promote analytics across the enterprise to enhance RBC’s data-driven initiatives.

**What do you need to succeed?**
**Must-have:**
- Enrollment at a Canadian post-secondary institution focusing on data science, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or machine learning.
- Leadership acumen with a passion for applying it in a dynamic business environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Creative and analytical thinker capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience or understanding of open-source software frameworks (Hadoop), data visualization tools (Tableau, Splunk), and databases (SQL, VBA).
- Programming skills in one or more languages (e.g., Python, R).
- Ability to extract, transform, and load data, as well as perform complex data analysis on large datasets.
- Strong MS Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).

**Nice-to-have:**
- Proficiency in building statistical and algorithmic models with large datasets, including supervised learning, clustering, and A/B testing.
- Knowledge of current analytics technologies and data warehouse concepts.
- Relational database concepts and design experience.
- Ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts.
