**Job Description**
We are seeking a Business Analyst (co-op student/intern) to join the RBC Wealth Management Team. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, an excellent communicator, solutions-oriented, and thrive in a dynamic and changing environment.
**What you will do:**
- Develop documents for IT applications, system specifications, and test plans, according to existing standards and methodologies.
- Translate business needs, processes, and procedures into workable systems, articulating specific software requirements to technology experts and business stakeholders.
- Work closely with business architects and technology staff to deliver project results while implementing risk analysis.
- Develop UAT strategy, document test cases, and execute testing.
- Support business clients with post-implementation verification.
- Perform in-depth data analysis, examination, and reconciliation to flag discrepancies and prepare summaries.
- Complete due diligence on existing and prospective clients to understand their source of wealth and identify red flags.
- Support with status updates, planning, and reporting to senior management and project owners.
- Assist in managing projects and initiatives for multiple stakeholders.
- Facilitate meetings with stakeholders and other key parties as required.
- Assist in relationship management and data collection from stakeholders.
- Collaborate with data owners to automate the KRI data collection process.
**Qualifications**
**Must have:**
- Expert experience with SQL, C#, Java, NodeJS, Python, and Microsoft technologies (school project experience counts).
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with high attention to detail.
- Strong competencies in relationship management, collaboration, and time management.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Interest in operational risk management and regulatory compliance within the financial services industry.
- Ability to adapt to dynamic situations.
**Nice to have:**
- Experience leading small projects or enhancements.
- Experience working on projects with information technology components.
- Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
**Eligibility:**
To be eligible for these student positions, you must either:
- Be returning to school after the work term end-date; or
- If you are not returning to school (i.e., graduating immediately after the work term), you must require the full work term as a mandatory component to graduate successfully.
