**Job Summary:**
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Accounting Manager will oversee all accounting functions for multiple supporting entities, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and provide financial insights to support decision-making. This role involves managing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, preparing financial reports, and collaborating with other departments to streamline financial processes.

**Responsibilities:**
- Oversee accounts receivable, cash receipts, collections, accounts payable, and cash disbursement functions, ensuring timely and accurate recording of all transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for multiple entities.
- Develop and monitor budgets and forecasts in collaboration with leadership.
- Ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and industry-specific regulations, including tax filings and HST/GST remittances.
- Track and report on accounts receivable and accounts payable KPIs for all group companies.
- Assist other business units with accounts receivable collection issues as required.
- Track and monitor intercompany collections, ensuring compliance with payment policies.
- Coordinate with external auditors during audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals; assign tasks and monitor performance.
- Identify inefficiencies in accounting processes and implement improvements.
- Leverage accounting software to automate workflows and enhance accuracy.
- Undertake other ad-hoc projects and duties as assigned.

**Qualifications:**
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a management role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; experience in the construction or infrastructure industry is a strong asset.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and timeliness.
- Proactive, results-driven, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Adaptable to a fast-paced environment and able to work under pressure.
