**Adult Day Program Assistant**
**Health Services – Seniors Services Development**

**Status:** 1 Regular Part-Time Position
**Hourly Rate:** $33.05 - $34.96 (plus 14% in lieu of benefits)
**Work Mode:** Onsite - Davis Centre LTC, 80 Allan Dr, Bolton, Ontario L7E 1P7
**Hours of Work:** No Guarantee of hours. Various hours spanning from morning to evening, Monday through Sunday. Alternating weekends and holidays.

**Who We Are:**
The Long-Term Care Seniors Services Division requires staff to provide person-centered care to our residents, clients, and caregivers following the Butterfly Model of Care. This ensures high levels of emotional well-being and a better quality of life for those in our homes and participating in our Adult Day Services. We seek staff who bring passion and care to their work.

**What You Will Do:**
- Provide therapeutic and recreational services and support the independence of clients in attendance at the Adult Day Service.
- Assist with activities varied to meet the needs of participants from the community.
- Aid participants in integrating into group activities and programs, including hobbies, social events, spiritual care programs, and therapeutic regimes.
- Assess participants’ abilities and interests and recommend specific programs.
- Serve all meals and snacks to clients according to proper dietary requirements.
- Provide assistance for all activities of daily living.
- Maintain appropriate records in accordance with policies, procedures, and legislated standards.

**What The Role Requires:**
- Post-secondary diploma in Social Services or Gerontology, OR a two (2) year Activation/Recreation Therapy Diploma from an accredited community college is required.
- Previous experience of at least one year in an Adult Day Service or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Effective oral and written communication skills are essential.
- Ability to communicate appropriately with clients, staff, volunteers, and visitors.
- Computer skills are required.
- Valid CPR/First Aid certification is needed.
- May be required to hold a Class “F” license.
- Food Handlers Certification is required.
- Must be physically able to perform all delegated duties.

Successful candidates hired to work within any of The Region of Peel’s Adult Day Services are required to provide a Vulnerable Sector Police Check and TB Skin Testing before hire. The successful candidate is responsible for any associated costs.
