**Salary Range:** $100,172 - $125,213 per annum plus comprehensive benefits

**Hours of Work:** 35 hours per week
**Who We Are:**
The Office of Climate Change and Energy Management (OCCEM) leads the Region of Peel's response to climate change, fostering a low-carbon, resilient community. OCCEM provides expertise, knowledge, strategy, and tools to embed climate change and energy management principles into practice.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Measurement & Verification:** Develop and implement plans to assess energy consumption, demand reductions, and GHG emission reductions.
- **Project Management:** Oversee successful execution of energy projects, maintaining timelines, quality standards, and budget constraints.
- **Collaboration:** Partner with internal and external stakeholders to support the Region's Energy and Environment Sustainability Strategy.
- **Research & Analysis:** Conduct energy audits, benchmark performance, and evaluate feasibility studies for efficiency improvements.
- **GHG Monitoring:** Lead greenhouse gas emission monitoring and strategy development for effective emissions management.
- **Community Engagement:** Encourage participation in energy conservation programs and initiatives promoting environmental stewardship.
**What the Role Requires:**
- University degree in Engineering or related field.
- Specialized knowledge of energy markets and the Ontario energy industry.
- Minimum four (4) years experience in the power/energy/electricity industry focused on risk management, purchasing, and reporting.
- Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP).
- Hands-on experience with energy management and energy technologies.
**Skills/Abilities:**
- Knowledge of renewable energy systems (wind, solar, hydro, biogas, biomass, ground source heat pumps).
- Understanding of international measurement and GHG standards (ISO 14064, ICLEI, WRI GHG Protocol).
- Strong decision-making, negotiation, planning, and project management skills.
- Ability to prepare reports and develop solutions to complex problems.
- Excellent analytical, consultation, leadership, and people management skills.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
**Nice to Have:**
- P.Eng designation.
- CEM designation.
- PMP designation.
- Certified member of OACETT in good standing.

**Work Arrangement:**
This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for a combination of on-site and off-site work, depending on operational needs. Off-site work must be within Ontario.
