**Job Title: Pricing Strategy Analyst**

**Location:** Staples Canada

**Overview:**
The Pricing Strategy Analyst will play a key role in the development of Staples Canada’s pricing strategy, ensuring competitive pricing in the market. This position requires proficiency in data analysis and the ability to identify trends and anomalies, enabling Staples to determine competitive prices to enhance market share and achieve revenue goals.

**Responsibilities:**
- Model and analyze price optimization scenarios in the pricing tool to maximize sales and profitability.
- Influence category partners to adopt the price optimization tool.
- Maintain and govern pricing strategy, configurations, and rules within the pricing tool.
- Manage the pricing tool backlog and coordinate with multiple stakeholders to deliver enhancements.
- Utilize quantitative and qualitative methods to analyze market, price positioning, and promotional trends, providing insights to drive business value.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering and Data Science teams to build data pipelines for various pricing workstreams.
- Develop logic for web scraping price collection processes and analyze competitive retail prices to identify incorrect matches and outliers.
- Build and maintain BI dashboards to respond effectively to changing market needs and trends.
- Drive efficiencies by streamlining and standardizing internal processes within the pricing tool.
- Articulate complex concepts effectively and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, third-party vendors, and senior management.

**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Analytics, or a related field.
- Knowledge of retail pricing fundamentals.
- In-depth knowledge of SQL and advanced Excel, including Macros.
- Proficiency in building advanced dashboards using Power BI or Looker.
- Exposure to Jira, Confluence, GCP, GitHub, BigQuery, and experience with Machine Learning in Python and AI environments is a plus.
- Creative problem solver with the ability to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- 3-4 years of experience in merchandising, pricing, or promotional planning within a large retail context.
