**Position Summary:**
The Treasury Analyst plays a vital role in ensuring the Bank's liquidity and optimizing net interest margins while managing financial risks. This role will involve various treasury banking, cash management, and deposit administration functions.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Deposit Management:**
- Administer GIC deposits in the Portfolio Plus subledger system.
- Process daily GIC issuances and monitor payments of principal, interest, and commissions.
- Handle new agent setups, re-registrations, transfers, amendments, cancellations, and rate changes.
- Maintain relationships with operations teams of Financial Institutions and Deposit Brokers.
- **Banking/Cash Management:**
- Review daily cash position and bank account balances.
- Assist in managing bank relationships and accounts.
- Analyze monthly bank fees and charges.
- Process corporate EFTs and wires, stop payments, and manage initial mortgage advances.
- **Treasury Finance:**
- Maintain the Bank’s portfolio of debt and derivatives, tracking due dates and processing payments.
- Liaise with retail banking platform operations, custodians, and investment dealers.
- Assist with liquidity reports and GIC account reconciliations.
- **Treasury Management:**
- Monitor GIC rates and issuances, providing analysis for rate setting.
- Collaborate on forecasting and interest rate models for GIC recommendations.
**Skills and Experience Required:**
- Progressive experience in a cash management, banking, or treasury administration role, preferably in financial services.
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting.
- Experience with banking software and treasury databases.
- Knowledge of financial markets, fixed income investments, and derivatives is an asset.
- Demonstrated integrity, problem solving, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
