**Job Summary:**
Join our multi-year Payments Modernization (PayMod) program, where your development efforts will directly impact the payments ecosystem, creating a faster, more flexible, and secure payments infrastructure for Canada.

**Responsibilities:**
- Write high-quality and efficient code
- Understand and solve business problems and technical issues
- Participate in code reviews and business/technical discussions
- Contribute to agile ceremonies
- Design and implement complex software enhancements

**Qualifications:**
- University degree in computer science or software engineering (or equivalent)
- 5+ years of relevant experience in software engineering
- Strong knowledge of Mulesoft and its ecosystem (Anypoint platform, Anypoint Studio, Cloudhub, or Runtime Fabrics)
- Experience with API specifications using RAML, OpenAPI, or other API modeling languages
- Experience with Mulesoft applications, connectors, and complex data transformations
- Familiarity with integration and architecture concepts (API-Led, SOAP, REST, etc.)
- Understanding of scaling software solutions and high availability design
- Knowledge of version control and continuous integration systems (Git, Jenkins)
- Problem-solving skills with complex applications
- Passion for clean code and testing (e.g., Munit)
- Strong accountability and ownership as a team player
- Java/Spring experience is a plus

**Nice-to-Have:**
- MuleSoft Certified (MCD - Mule 4)
- Banking experience
- Runtime Fabrics familiarity
- Agile/Scrum methodology experience
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and Azure
- Willingness to seek information and assistance when needed

**Salary:**
$107,800. The salary range represents the job rate determined for the successful candidate who is fully competent in the role. Actual salary may vary based on market conditions and job-related factors such as skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
