**About the Role**
The Application Developer is responsible for creating user information solutions by developing, implementing, and maintaining defined components and interfaces. This role involves translating business requirements into workable programming code and developing and maintaining computer software for use at Tarion. This is a hybrid role requiring working two (2) days in the office and three (3) days remotely, per week.
**What you will be doing:**
- **Software Solutioning**
- Work collaboratively with clients to establish requirements
- Architect the solution by defining component structuring
- Complete impact assessment to evaluate overall solution requirements
- Devise possible solutions to anticipated problems
- Ensure accountability for the development of the entire solution
- Combine all elements of the program design and testing
- **Software Research**
- Work with Architecture and Technical Analysts to evaluate alternative technology solutions
- Research packaged solutions and prototype solutions that are not too technical
- Keep pace with emerging technology trends
- **Client Support**
- Act as a change agent for modern approaches to developing solutions
- Assist clients with transformation to new technologies
- Gather feedback from clients for future improvement
- **Production Support**
- Provide rotational on-call responsibilities for investigation and resolution of questions/problems
- Communicate with the business, advising on current status and steps taken to resolve problems
**What you will need to succeed:**
- **Requirements:**
- 3+ years of relevant experience in ERP consulting
- Experience with leading 2+ full life cycle Workday Finance implementations or other ERP systems
- Knowledge of Finance, Procurement, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Accounts Receivable, Revenue Recognition, and General Ledger processes
- **Must Have:**
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 3 - 5 years overall experience in IT industry working on Finance applications
- At least 3 to 4 years of experience in building and deploying integrations in Workday
- Strong proficiency in Workday Reports and Integration tools
- Experience with XML, XSLT, REST/SOAP Web Services in Workday
- Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills
- **Nice to Have:**
- Proficiency with project tracking software, such as Jira
- Certification in application development
- Project management experience
