**Role Overview:**
As an Applied Scientist specializing in NLP, you will conduct research and develop AI solutions that improve our products. Your contributions will align with business objectives to drive innovation and deliver customer value.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Manage end-to-end model development, including task design, data creation, training, evaluation, and model governance.
- Innovate capabilities using generative AI to meet customer needs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope and translate business objectives into technical requirements.
- Develop functional proofs of concept (POCs) for new capabilities and product concepts.
- Write clean code, participate in code reviews, and contribute to software delivery in a production environment.

**Qualifications:**

*Basic Qualifications:*
- PhD or Master’s in a relevant discipline.
- Experience in researching, building, and evaluating NLP systems.
- Strong engineering skills for prototyping and familiarity with remote development workflows (AWS, Azure).
- Exceptional communication, problem solving, and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to convey AI concepts to diverse audiences.

*Preferred Qualifications:*
- Experience in designing and implementing solutions with large language models.
- Publications in conferences such as ACL, EMNLP, NAACL, NeurIPS, ICLR, SIGIR, KDD, or similar.
- Experience writing production code and ensuring well-managed software delivery.

**Compensation:**
- Base compensation for the role in specified locations ranges from $83,200 - $154,400 and $87,500 - $162,500 for fully remote or other locations.
- Eligible for an Annual Bonus based on performance.
