This is a 4-month paid contract opportunity starting May 2025 and ending August 2025, with potential for extension to 8 or 12 months. **Job Role**
As an Associate Business Solutions Consultant, you will collaborate with our Public Sector Partners, including Service Alberta, to identify high-value business problems that can be addressed with artificial intelligence or machine learning. Your focus will be on defining and communicating the business impact of AI/ML use cases to senior stakeholders in government and supporting organizational change management and adoption planning.

You will work in a team environment to tackle specific use cases identified by our Public Sector Partners, immersing yourself in complex customer workflows to understand data and business nuances that impact AI/ML product design. This role is responsible for synthesizing diverse streams of information into a unified understanding of business problems that can be communicated across project and customer teams.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Assist with business requirements gathering and communicate how machine learning solutions can integrate into client processes and workflows.
- Facilitate workshops and engage clients to identify and refine machine learning opportunities.
- Conduct industry research to identify areas where machine learning can provide value and ROI for customers.
- Prepare project business reports and presentations to current and potential customers.
- Document requirements for machine learning use cases and provide advisory support to the team based on a deep understanding of client needs.

**Qualifications:**
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary degree program at the University of Alberta, University of Calgary (Masters only), University of Waterloo, Queen's University, Mount Royal University, or University of Toronto.
- Prior experience as a business analyst in software development, data analytics, or AI projects is an advantage.
- Familiarity with conceptualizing digital products and AI solutions, including developing requirements, personas, journey maps, wireframes, workflows, and prototypes.
- Experience with Miro and Figma is a plus.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Strong desire to learn and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of industries such as Public Sector, Health Care, Oil and Gas, Environmental Sciences, Disaster Management, Finance, Social Services, IT, or Supply Chain is an asset.

**Office Locations:**
This role may require occasional work from offices in Edmonton, Calgary, Toronto, or Waterloo.
