**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a highly motivated Compliance Associate to join our Compliance team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Compliance, you will support the operational model of the department by contributing to compliance data analytics and communications programs.
**Responsibilities:**
- Collaborate with the IT team to develop and produce Compliance-related reports, analyzing SharePoint data and identifying trends.
- Serve as the first point of contact for Compliance policy concerns, managing correspondence or escalating issues as necessary.
- Partner with senior leaders to innovate and develop training courses within the Compliance training program and execute the Compliance Communication and Training Strategy.
- Manage the Compliance intranet page, ensuring up-to-date information and responding to items of interest.
- Approve and respond to personal trading requests from Board Members and clients.
- Educate colleagues on Compliance procedures and maintain accurate records through regular reconciliation of Compliance systems.
- Ensure all IMCO Policies and Guidelines are updated and properly stored in our policy management program.
**Qualifications:**
- Diploma or degree in Business, Finance, Communications, Information or Data Management, or a related discipline preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in a relevant role within Canadian Banking, Pensions, Insurance, or Investment Management.
- Experience dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong interest and aptitude for learning new technology systems and processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite, with strong Excel and data reporting skills.
- Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, analytical, and research capabilities.
- Proven attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to deliver quality outputs under tight deadlines while managing multiple projects.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with various stakeholders.
- Proactive nature with initiative to support team goals.
**Nice-to-Haves:**
- Knowledge of Power BI, SharePoint, or similar.
- Experience drafting and managing policies and procedures.
- Completion or interest in the Canadian Securities Course, CAMS designation, or CFA is an asset.
- Familiarity with Bloomberg, Copilot, World Check, or Dow Jones is helpful, but not required.
