**Description:**
The Automation Developer will identify opportunities for automation within software processes and will be responsible for designing and executing QA tests using automated scripts. The successful candidate will work closely with QA analysts and software developers to provide solutions for identified issues, as well as plan and organize testing efforts for large systems both in GUI and non-GUI environments.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Identify opportunities for automation within software processes.
- Design and execute QA tests using automated scripts.
- Write test automation scripts and utilize test automation frameworks.
- Investigate issues in software resulting from testing efforts.
- Collaborate with QA analysts and software developers for effective problem resolution.
- Provide advice on testing strategy, test plans, and resource identification for testing.
- Plan and organize testing efforts for large systems, including systems integration tests and user acceptance testing (UAT).

**General Skills:**
- Experience with automated testing methodologies and tools.
- Ability to identify and document bugs and quality issues in various processes.
- Experience collaborating with stakeholders to enhance workflow through automation.
- Strong track record in managing deadlines and competing priorities.
- Extensive experience in executing functional tests, non-functional tests, and integration tests.
- Knowledge of automated testing tools and frameworks.

**Must Haves:**
- Extensive experience with Katalon, Selenium, Microfocus Unified Functional Testing (UFT), and Microfocus LoadRunner 12.5 in a DevOps environment.
- Proficient in performance testing tools, including JMeter.
- Experience with ReadyAPI/Postman and Test Automation Development.

**Desirable Skills:**
- Knowledge of programming languages and information retrieval packages.
- Understanding of Information Management principles and AODA regulations.
- Experience with coding automated test scripts and testing Commercial Off-the-Shelf Applications (COTS).

**Evaluation Criteria:**
- **Automated Testing Skills:**
- Experience with Katalon, Selenium, UFT, LoadRunner, JMeter, and ReadyAPI/Postman.
- Knowledge of automated testing methods in DevOps and Agile settings.

- **Testing Experience:**
- Over 10 years in planning and implementing testing efforts.
- Proficient in test management tools such as Azure DevOps and Microfocus ALM.

- **Technical Skills:**
- Experience with methodologies including Waterfall, Agile, and DevOps.
- Familiarity with Cloud technology and AODA compliance tools.
- Experience with databases (IMS/DB2/SQL/Oracle), UNIX, and .NET platform.

- **Soft Skills:**
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proven ability to build strong working relationships.
