**The Opportunity**
We are currently looking for a Benefits Specialist to join our Total Rewards team. In this role, you will manage the day-to-day administration of our Short-Term and Long-Term Disability programs, retirement programs, and general benefits for our employees in Canada. This position reports to the Total Rewards Manager and is located in Toronto, ON.

**What You’ll Do**
- Administer, maintain, and communicate the organization’s benefits program, including health insurance and retirement plans.
- Manage short-term and long-term disability programs from initial case submission to employee status updates.
- Collaborate with People & Culture, Operations, and Payroll on benefits and leave administration.
- Oversee DPSP/RRSP plans, including enrollments and education.
- Administer the group benefits plan and the Employee & Family Assistance Plan (EFAP).
- Research and analyze benefits plans to provide recommendations for improvements.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements for benefits programs.
- Coordinate employee information sessions, enrollments, and educational presentations.
- Process benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations accurately and timely.
- Assist employees with benefits-related inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
- Manage claims, invoices, and resolve administrative issues with carrier representatives.
- Collaborate with insurance providers and vendors to ensure smooth operations.
- Conduct regular audits of benefits data for accuracy and compliance.
- Support the Total Rewards team with Be EPIC Be Well strategies for comprehensive employee wellbeing.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**What You’ll Need**
- Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of insurance plans, retirement plans, and laws related to employee benefits.
- Proficiency in MS Office; HRIS knowledge is a plus.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze data and provide actionable recommendations.
- Strong prioritization skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in both English and French is an asset, but not required.
