**Summary:**
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for all aspects of recruitment and staffing within the organization.
**Key Duties & Responsibilities:**
- **Recruiting:**
- Advertise and solicit resumes from qualified candidates.
- Coordinate and attend career fairs across Canada.
- Screen and assess resumes and applications.
- Conduct initial screening interviews.
- Make hiring recommendations and draft employment offers.
- **Marketing/Advertising:**
- Enhance the BGIS brand to attract a wider candidate market.
- Develop creative strategies to position BGIS as an appealing employer.
- **Social Media:**
- Increase employment brand visibility through platforms like LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
- Collaborate with the Senior People & Culture Director and Business Partners to ensure compliance with hiring practices.
- Maintain a pool of qualified candidates and ensure efficient recruitment processes.
- Stay updated on recruitment trends and assist Business Partners with recruitment needs.
- Actively source candidates through LinkedIn and Indeed.
- Conduct interviews for junior and mid-level positions.
- Engage with universities and industry associations for targeted hires.
- Work with the Talent Acquisition Coordinator on data integrity and reporting.
- Provide weekly updates on recruitment progress and perform other duties as assigned.
**Knowledge & Skills:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in recruitment with a proven success record.
- Knowledge of current recruitment trends and methodologies.
- Familiarity with Provincial and Federal Employment Equity legislation.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Applicant Tracking tools (Taleo ATS preferred).
- Strong work ethic, detail-oriented, and adaptable to fast-paced environments.
- Bilingualism in English/French is an asset.
- Commitment to customer service and a good sense of humor.
**Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation:**
- CHRP designation considered an asset.
