**Job Title:** Business Systems Analyst (Basel/Equities)

**Terms:** 1-year contract rolling (3-year project)

**Job Description:**
Apex Systems is a global IT services provider seeking a Business Systems Analyst with expertise in vars/stresses as well as experience with Basel and Equities/Derivative products. The ideal candidate will possess skills in SQL and Python scripting and have a solid understanding of the SDLC cycle.

**Responsibilities:**
- Liaise with business partners to analyze requirements
- Create and track functional specifications for development and testing
- Conduct research through internal data platforms, Bloomberg, and other means for data maintenance
- Support requirements for Basel regulatory projects across various Capital Market products
- Assist agile development team with analysis and resolution of production issues and user queries
- Perform stress testing in VaR as required
- Extract data utilizing SQL or Python scripts

**Key Skills:**
- Proficient in SQL and/or Python scripting
- Strong data manipulation and presentation skills in Excel
- Comfortable working in an agile environment
- Prior experience in capital markets Basel projects
- Experience with Stress testing in VaR
- Knowledge in asset class and quantitative financial analytics
- Self-starter with a proactive approach
- Ability to collaborate with global stakeholders from both business and technology teams
