**Position Overview:**
The Cloud Engineer role within Pensions & Technology is responsible for developing, researching, implementing, provisioning, and managing cloud-based infrastructure and services for Pensions. This includes ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security of cloud solutions while enhancing efficiency and reliability.
**Responsibilities:**
- Collaborate with DevOps/SRE teams to ensure seamless deployment and management of cloud solutions.
- Work with Pensions Solution Architects to align cloud solutions with architectural designs.
- Coordinate with Agile Delivery Leads/Scrum Masters or Project Managers to integrate agile processes with cloud solutions.
- Collaborate with Enterprise System/Cloud Engineering to ensure alignment with organizational standards.
- Engage with Enterprise Network Teams to set up and manage secure network connections for cloud solutions.
- Work with Google & Microsoft Cloud Architects/Specialists to optimize the use of platform-specific features.
**Qualifications:**
- 2+ years of experience as SRE, DevOps, or Cloud Engineer.
- Deep understanding of at least one major cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- In-depth knowledge of cloud services including compute, storage, and networking.
- Experience with cloud resource provisioning and management.
- Mastery of IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
- Advanced scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance standards, including Identity and Access Management (IAM) in the cloud.
- Familiarity with cloud monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Azure Monitor) and log management.
- Understanding of serverless computing platforms (e.g., GCP Cloud Run, Azure Functions).
- Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices and tools like Jenkins, Travis CI, or GitLab CI/CD.
- Continuous improvement of reliability, scalability, and performance.
