**Job Title:** Cloud Engineer

**Job Summary:**
Join our dynamic and innovative Hybrid Cloud Services Team at RBC, where technology meets a passion for driving organizational change. As a Cloud Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of technology and gain experience building and operating fully managed technology services in a hybrid Cloud environment.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Engineering:**
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and resilient hybrid Cloud services.
- Conduct performance analysis and optimization of services for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Identify and implement best practices for resource utilization and scalability.

- **Security and Compliance:**
- Implement and maintain security measures for on-premise and public Cloud environments.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

- **Monitoring and Troubleshooting:**
- Set up monitoring and alerting systems for proactive issue identification and resolution.
- Respond to incidents, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for incident escalations.

**Qualifications:**
- **Must Have:**
- Passion for debugging and ensuring resiliency of Cloud systems.
- Scripting and automation skills (e.g., Shell, Ansible, Python, Terraform).
- Experience with Linux and container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong desire to learn new skills and technologies.

- **Nice to Have:**
- Software development experience in Java, Go, or Rust.
- Familiarity with Elasticsearch, Kafka, or Redis from a development or operations perspective.
