**Position Details**
- **Work Schedule:** Monday to Friday, 8-hour shift
- **Employment Type:** Full-time Salary Employee
- **Pay Range:** Commensurate with experience
**Key Responsibilities**
As a Community Access Occupational Therapist, you will:
- Assess and implement Occupational Therapy interventions in community settings according to VHA standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Conduct assessments through interviews and various assessment techniques.
- Provide interventions such as home safety equipment recommendations, falls prevention, energy conservation strategies, and linking clients to community resources.
- Attend client-related meetings to report on findings and discuss intervention plans.
- Ensure coordinated care delivery through communication with team members.
- Document all assessment findings, treatment plans, and progress as required.
- Uphold the profession's standards and ethical code as defined by the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
**Qualifications**
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution.
- Member in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
- Professional association membership preferred.
- Experience in the field is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and utilize valid outcome measures for clinical interventions.
