**Job Title:** Public Works - Operations Support
**Status:** 1 Regular Full Time Position
**Compensation:** $54,969 - $68,713 per annum plus comprehensive benefits
**Location and Work Mode:** Onsite, 230 Advance Blvd, Brampton
**Hours of Work:** 35 hours per week; Monday to Friday
**Job Description:**
Reporting to the Team Leader, Supply Management, the Operations Support role involves handling product receipt and distribution for Public Works clients, managing inventory, tracking product movement, and resolving discrepancies. Responsibilities include overseeing staff training, invoice reconciliation, and addressing inquiries as necessary. The role requires distribution of products from outdoor storage and may involve driving to various Region of Peel facilities, worksites, and vendor locations using a Region of Peel vehicle.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Order, receive, and distribute products throughout the organization, primarily for Public Works clientele.
- Maintain an inventory of products, track product movement, and investigate discrepancies.
- Perform invoice matching and reconciliation for related purchases; direct inquiries to appropriate areas.
- Distribute products from outdoor storage and operate in inclement weather.
- Drive to transport products among Region of Peel facilities, worksites, and vendor locations using Region of Peel vehicles.
- Use a personal vehicle for job assignments at different Region of Peel sites/yards.
- Initial training and orientation may occur at multiple Region of Peel work sites.
**Qualifications:**
- Secondary school graduation with some post-secondary courses in purchasing, inventory control, or business, combined with 1-2 years of relevant warehouse or materials distribution experience; equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Windows-based database entry; experience using Hansen Inventory Software is an asset.
- Strong judgment, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with good customer service abilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for liaising with internal and external partners.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
- Forklift and Reach Truck certification is preferred and will be required upon hire.
- Valid Ontario Class “G” driver’s license in good standing.
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Health & Safety and WHMIS training considered an asset.
