**What is the Opportunity?**

Under the guidance and supervision of a Project/Construction Manager, Superintendent or appointed designate, the Project Coordinator plays an essential role in project execution. This role focuses on assisting project management in developing and maintaining schedules, managing labor, customer relations, engineering, contract management, project controls, change management, etc. We are looking for talented and diverse individuals for Project Coordinator opportunities in our Major Projects East Civil Infrastructure division.

**What You’ll Do Here:**

- Plan and implement an engineering and construction program, including defining the project plan, activities, milestones, and labor requirements.
- Develop and maintain the project schedule and budget, controlling spending.
- Read and understand the project contract.
- Provide status reports of project milestones and adjustments to schedules.
- Identify changes to the project schedule and their impacts.
- Identify project labor requirements and coordinate labor with appropriate trades and subcontractors.
- Coordinate the preparation and delivery of project deliverables (e.g., design documents, as-built drawings, etc.).
- Review project design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
- Coordinate activities relating to technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.
- Evaluate and recommend design changes, specifications, and drawing releases.
- Interface with customers to provide project status reports and ensure customer needs are met.
- Provide status and progress reports to customer, project team, and management.
- Forecast and track change orders and scope changes.
- Assist and monitor safety programs and statistics as required.
- Write and review purchase specifications and subcontract documents.
- Actively participate in quality assurance regarding policies and procedures.
- Provide estimating and project management backup as required.
- Develop and write reports and business correspondence.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor/manager.

**What You Bring To The Team:**

- Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering or Construction Management disciplines, or a combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of 1 - 3 years working as a Project Coordinator or in a similar role, ideally in project engineering or heavy construction (co-op experience will be considered).
- Proficient in construction-related software (e.g., Primavera Scheduling software, AutoCAD, SAP, etc.).
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Willingness to travel to project locations and work a flexible schedule (locations across Ontario, often remote).
