**About The Role**
We are looking for a Data Engineer Intern to join our growing team for the Spring/Summer 2025 Term (May - Aug). In this role, you will have the opportunity to build scalable and highly available data pipelines using modern tech and tools at one of Canada’s fastest-growing startups.
**Responsibilities:**
- Build and maintain pipelines that ingest large amounts of data from various sources.
- Set up Reverse-ETL syncs to power operational analytics.
- Write automated tests to ensure operational reliability and data integrity.
- Implement and launch high-impact A/B tests to help acquire users and grow revenue.
**Our Tech Stack:**
- SOA architecture powered by micro-services.
- Modern data stack including Airflow, Fivetran, Snowflake, dbt, Looker, Hightouch, and more.
- Proprietary event logging platform processing terabytes of data weekly.
- Distributed ELT infrastructure hosted using Kubernetes and AWS.
**About You**
- You have at least 6-18 months of Data Engineering or Software Engineering experience, preferably in a startup environment.
- You learn quickly and adapt to different languages and technologies.
- You have experience building scalable data pipelines and powerful reporting tools.
- You excel at decoding complex problems with logical, well-reasoned solutions.
**Compensation:**
- Top-of-market intern salary of $300/Term.
- One-time home office setup allowance.
- $25/Week UberEats allowance on Fridays.
- $300/Term Learning and Development allowance.
- $120/Term Fitness/Wellness allowance.
