**What You'll Do:**
- Support Geotab's existing big data infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform by ensuring data availability for the data science team.
- Devise new methodologies for reconstructing and enriching data at scale.
- Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting services for the data infrastructure.
- Collaborate with data scientists to understand processing needs and develop solutions.
- Create and maintain documentation for architecture, requirements, and process flows.
- Assist internal teams with data integration on newly developed big data platforms.
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotating schedule.

**Qualifications:**
- Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Software or Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 1-5 years of experience in Data Engineering or a similar role.
- Experience in developing production-level systems using Java and Spring framework.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies, such as Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
- Knowledge of Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, or similar technologies is a plus.
- Understanding of data management fundamentals and architectures.
- Experience with API design and implementation.
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.
- Strong team player who engages with all levels of the organization.
