**Job Summary**

CIMT College is seeking an instructor for the Dental Administration program, which is registered with the Ministry of Colleges and Universities. The successful candidate will follow CIMT College's policies and procedures, utilizing an Instructor Manual which provides courseware, resources, evaluations, and daily lesson plans. The Instructor will train students with the required knowledge and skills to prepare them for employment in the field, emphasizing hands-on training and professional conduct.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

- Demonstrate thorough and accurate knowledge of the field.
- Instruct curriculum using only pre-authorized and provided materials.
- Teach using a diverse and systematic plan of lectures, presentations, demonstrations, discussion groups, laboratory work, case studies, and independent or group projects.
- Employ appropriate adult teaching strategies to communicate effectively with diverse students.
- Administer and mark quizzes, assignments, exams, and other assessments to monitor and evaluate students’ progress.
- Evaluate student performance fairly and consistently, returning marks promptly.
- Provide feedback on student performance and gather student feedback on the course, content, and instructor.
- Demonstrate sensitivity to student needs in a multi-cultural environment.
- Resolve student complaints and concerns professionally.
- Maintain accurate attendance records.
- Ensure classrooms are left clean and orderly after class.
- Support admissions team with inquiries from potential students about the program.
- Participate in scheduled meetings and annual events, such as graduation.
- Maintain confidentiality of student privacy and information.
- Stay current in the subject matter through professional development.
- Demonstrate teamwork and problem-solving abilities.
- Perform other related duties as required.

**Skills Required**

- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database systems.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Professional business attire and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to mentor and serve as a role model.
- Online teaching experience (training provided; computer skills are essential).

**Qualifications**

- 48 months of work experience in the vocation, OR
- 36 months of teaching experience in the vocation and 24 months of work experience in the vocation, OR
- 24 months of work experience in the vocation AND hold a Bachelor’s degree from a Canadian university or an equivalent degree.
- Graduate of a College of Applied Arts and Technology or equivalent.
- Graduate of a registered career college or equivalent.
- Meet Instructor qualification standards as outlined in the Regulations to Ontario Career Colleges Act, 2005.
- Must be available to teach online/in-campus as per the accepted schedule.
