**Position Overview:**
This field-based position is located in the Owen Sound - Midland Area within the Diabetes Care Division. The Diabetes Sales Specialist will work to develop maximum sales growth in an assigned territory by contacting healthcare professionals, including high-prescribing doctors and retail pharmacists. The role requires maintaining a comprehensive understanding of the diabetes landscape, Abbott Diabetes Care products, and competitors.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop and execute a strategic territory plan to maximize sales and achieve short- and long-term goals.
- Educate and influence healthcare professionals to recommend Abbott products to patients, increasing sales of sensors and BGM test strips.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to enhance market share.
- Commit to continuous self-development to stay informed about the disease state and product innovations.
- Communicate sales activities and manage records in an organized and timely manner.
- Maintain company equipment and supplies in accordance with established policies.

**Required Qualifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in medical device or pharmaceutical sales.
- Strong problem-solving and superior interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create and present innovative solutions.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
