**Position Summary:**
Reporting to the Chief Nursing Executive, the Director, Human Resources (HR) is responsible for delivering full HR services—strategic and administrative—in support of HR and organizational business objectives that enhance patient care. The Director will design, develop, and provide direction on Runnymede Campus’ workforce and talent management strategies. This role ensures consistent application, implementation, and improvement of approved HR practices and processes across Runnymede Campus in line with its strategic priorities and vision.
**Responsibilities:**
- Provide overall leadership in HR strategy, talent acquisition, performance management, compensation and benefits, HR administration, employee and labor relations, succession planning, training, and leadership development.
- Function as a strategic human capital business advisor to the senior management team.
- Design and oversee HR workforce strategies aligning with organizational goals, ensuring talent needs are met, and addressing future skills requirements.
- Oversee the development and execution of learning and development programs, including orientation/onboarding to prepare staff for current and future strategic priorities.
- Maintain and execute the performance management process across the organization; provide strategic support to senior management for effective implementation.
- Develop a comprehensive compensation strategy that includes benchmarking against industry standards.
- Collaborate with management to review and design HR-related policies and procedures that comply with employment laws.
- Build relationships with the senior leadership team to provide strategic advice on HR processes and talent management based on research and analytics.
- Establish conflict resolution and grievance handling frameworks to promote early intervention and maintain positive work environments.
- Lead collective bargaining negotiations with labor unions.
- Design strategic initiatives aimed at service improvement and develop performance targets to measure success.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 10 years of professional HR generalist experience.
- HRPA member in good standing (CHRP is an asset).
- Minimum 7 years of experience managing or leading HR professionals with expertise in recruitment and workforce planning.
- Previous experience as a key partner in organization-wide HR initiatives or strategic plans.
- Proficient in Windows Operating System, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional leadership skills in building effective teams and developing talent through coaching.
- Excellent knowledge of HR strategy design and implementation in a unionized environment.
