**About Take A Hike Foundation:**
Take A Hike Foundation has been dedicated to supporting youth through transformative mental health and social-emotional programs since 2000. Our innovative land-based learning approach is incorporated into alternative education settings, helping young people overcome challenges, build resilience, and thrive.
**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a Director of Development for Ontario, a vital role that will engage the donor community to support the mental health needs of young people. This position involves creating and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy, fostering community partnerships, and enhancing access to crucial resources.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Lead the development and implementation of the fundraising strategy for Ontario.
- Build and nurture relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders.
- Act as an ambassador for the organization within the Toronto philanthropic community.
- Develop a philanthropy team in Ontario and collaborate with national colleagues for a cohesive donor experience.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (CFRE preferred).
- Significant fundraising experience, especially in major gift solicitation and donor stewardship.
- Strong understanding of fundraising cycles and trends in the philanthropic sector.
- Proven ability to inspire and build high-performing teams.
- Technical proficiency and creative problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.
**Salary and Benefits:**
- Salary: Approximately $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
