**About The Role:**
We are looking for a Director, Strategy & Operations to join our growing team for Casualty, Legal, and Large Loss Claims. The goal of the Director is to contribute to the growth and sustainability of our leadership advantage through the execution of strategies that ensure ongoing market competitiveness and organizational success. This position reports to the Deputy Senior Vice President of Claims – Casualty, Legal, and Large Loss and works closely with the leadership team across Canada. The role location is open to our locations across Canada, with a preference for Toronto or Montreal.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Partner with the leadership team (VPs and Directors) to develop our strategy and vision for overall operations across a team of 1100+ employees.
- Collaborate with appropriate Centers of Excellence (COEs) and Leaders to develop, design, and track business strategies and projects supporting our claims strategic priorities.
- Establish, track, and refine best practice workflows, procedures, and change management plans to ensure business practices are well executed.
- Lead project management and change management initiatives.
- Coordinate key strategic meetings and prepare research, analysis, and presentations for the leadership team related to our strategic narrative and key deliverables.
- Conduct assessments of claims strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, promoting actionable proposals.
- Utilize financial acumen to support budget processes, initiatives delivery, and reporting.
- Educate and build awareness of key trends with internal stakeholders.
- Conduct primary and secondary research with internal and external partners as required.
- Identify new organizational strategies and capabilities necessary for long-term competitive advantage.

**Your Skills:**
- University or college degree (preferably in finance, actuarial, or general business).
- 7-10 years of work experience, with 3-5 years in management.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and project management skills.
- Excellent research, communication (oral and written), and facilitation skills.
- Strong collaboration, financial, and business acumen.
- Bilingualism (French/English) is required for regular interaction with colleagues across the country.
