**Position Overview:**
The Project Manager (PM) – Engineering will report to the Project Director - Engineering for the Darlington New Nuclear Project (DNNP) and will oversee engineering, procurement, and construction delivery for the New Nuclear program. This role involves stakeholder management, team leadership, and ensuring project execution methodology is followed.
**Your Role Within The Team:**
- **Project Planning and Scope Definition:** Develop comprehensive project plans and define project scope and deliverables.
- **Team Leadership and Coordination:** Assemble and lead a multidisciplinary project team, ensuring effective collaboration.
- **People Management:** Manage career development of project resources and coordinate with functional managers on staffing and training.
- **Contract and Risk Management:** Oversee contract administration and ensure compliance with obligations.
- **Safety and Quality Assurance:** Enforce safety programs and maintain quality standards.
- **Performance Monitoring and Reporting:** Develop KPIs to monitor project health and establish reporting protocols.
- **Procurement and Supply Chain Management:** Manage all aspects of contract management and ensure governance.
- **Stakeholder Communication:** Serve as the main contact for stakeholders, ensuring effective communication.
- **Ethical and Regulatory Compliance:** Ensure compliance with ethical conduct and regulatory standards.
- **Nuclear Safety:** Uphold safety standards, adhering to corporate and customer safety programs.

**Ideal Candidate Profile:**
- **Experience:** 15+ years in project management, with 10+ years leading teams. Nuclear project experience is an asset.
- **Nuclear Supply Chain Knowledge:** Familiarity with nuclear supply chain principles.
- **Leadership Skills:** Proven ability to inspire and build a cohesive team.
- **Quality Assurance Perspective:** Appreciation for QA Programs in the nuclear sector.
- **Communication Skills:** Strong organizational and interpersonal communication abilities.
- **Technical Skills:** Understanding of construction drawings and project delivery methodologies.
- **Safety Knowledge:** Understanding of industrial and nuclear safety culture.
- **Educational Background:** BSc in Engineering or equivalent; advanced degrees or certifications (PMP, P.Eng) are assets.
**Work Locations:**
The project team is predominantly based near Toronto with locations in Mississauga, Pickering, and Oshawa, ON.
