**Job Posting: Sonographer Educator**

St. Joseph's Health Centre is seeking a Sonographer Educator to join our team located in the West end, within walking distance of High Park and Lake Ontario. Our facility is easily accessible by public transport and offers reasonable onsite parking options.

**Position Summary:**
The Sonographer Educator is responsible for the coordination, education, and supervision of ultrasound students. This role includes correlating didactic instruction with clinical training and evaluating students to ensure they meet program requirements. The educator will also maintain clinical expertise to mentor current Sonographers.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams and participate in the daily workload.
- Report, review, and record findings to provide accurate patient diagnoses.
- Coordinate and educate ultrasound students in collaboration with Academic Institutions.
- Assess and evaluate students and assist with the education of Radiology Residents.
- Assist radiologists during ultrasound-guided special procedures.
- Maintain and perform quality control for ultrasound equipment.
- Provide optimum patient care and demonstrate professionalism in the work setting.
- Participate in daily departmental coordination and team building.
- Lead educational programs and update departmental policies or protocols.
- Stay informed on Sonography trends and participate in the orientation of new Sonographers.
- Work independently and collaboratively, assisting the Operations Leader with departmental tasks.

**Qualifications:**
- Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario.
- Minimum of five years of experience in a hospital environment as a Sonographer.
- Teaching experience and clinical preceptor certification preferred.
- Leadership experience is an asset.
- Membership with Sonography Canada preferred.
- Strong commitment to lifelong learning and professional development.
- Proven leadership, mentoring, and effective communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and handle stress professionally.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Comprehensive knowledge of ultrasound theory and skills.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
