**Position Overview:**
The Engineering Manager is responsible for the delivery and quality of services in their product team, as well as the team's culture and morale. This role also involves participation in engineering-wide improvement activities related to processes, innovation, and ways of working.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Lead effective delivery of sprint and quarterly goals
- Create clarity for the team regarding goals and expectations
- Address problems proactively with proposed solutions
- Identify and eliminate bottlenecks and roadblocks
- Support team learning by analyzing failures and successes
- Manage production incidents and ensure adherence to engineering best practices
- Foster feedback and improvements in delivery processes
- Assist Product Owners with feature specifications and scoping
- Promote the management of technical debt and roadmap items
- Understand and cater to the personal needs of team members
- Manage team morale and motivation
- Lead recruiting efforts and make headcount recommendations

**Required Knowledge and Skills:**
- Demonstrated experience in software engineering practices and the software development life cycle
- Proficient in Jira and Confluence for managing software delivery
- Ability to engage in technical discussions and resolve complex problems
- Strong attention to detail, adaptability, and the ability to work under pressure
- Proven experience in prioritizing and managing multiple tasks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present technical information effectively
- Proven history of mentoring and coaching team members
