**Role Overview:**
As a Financial Services Associate, you will join a team of highly engaged financial service professionals dedicated to providing an exceptional Member Experience. You will understand the financial needs of our Members and provide appropriate advice and recommendations, including complex credit and investment advice. You will also meet specific individual and team-based business goals while managing Member portfolios and building genuine relationships.

**Key Responsibilities:**

*Member Experience*
- Understand how Meridian’s products and services can add value to our Members.
- Provide investment advice and credit product recommendations based on accurate credit interviewing and underwriting skills.
- Engage in revenue generation and sales activities to achieve performance objectives.
- Use tools to proactively identify and promote opportunities to deepen relationships with Members.
- Embrace virtual technology for effective communication with Members.
- Maintain discretion and confidentiality regarding Member privacy.

*Employee Experience*
- Act as an engaged teammate and build internal relationships within Member Experience teams.
- Demonstrate empathy and promote inclusivity in the workplace.
- Participate in individual learning and development aligned with Meridian values.
- Support the leadership team in planning and implementation processes.
- Step in as a leader when the Branch Manager is away and act as a role model.

*Community Experience*
- Promote Meridian Credit Union in the community by participating in events and supporting local organizations.
- Plan and deliver Meridian hosted Community events.

**Qualifications:**
- Post-secondary education with at least 3 years of experience in a financial services environment with a consistent track record in sales.
- Strong business and financial industry knowledge, with a desire for career growth within the financial services industry.
- MFDA licensing is required for most roles.
- Flexibility to work scheduled hours, including some evenings and Saturdays.
- Proficient in computer systems, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Strong negotiation, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

**Locations:**
Our GTHA East branches are located in Markham, Toronto, Whitby, Pickering, and Richmond Hill.
