**Job Title: Director of Sales & Marketing**
**Location: Marriott Courtyard Mississauga**

Marriott Courtyard Mississauga is seeking a driven and innovative Director of Sales & Marketing to elevate our beautiful hotel. Our hotel features 125 rooms, 7000 sqft of banquet space, and an on-site bistro.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Direct the solicitation efforts of the sales staff via effective communication while overseeing group room sales.
- Interview, hire, train, and evaluate sales staff; provide guidance and counsel towards improvement.
- Conduct regular training programs to ensure performance standards are met.
- Prepare reports for the Sales Department, including annual and monthly forecasts and marketing budgets.
- Research the travel industry to identify market trends for developing new marketing strategies.
- Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients.
- Maximize revenue by proactively selling all hotel facets through various communication methods.
- Handle account details, ensuring thorough documentation of solicitation and closing processes.
- Prepare for and represent the hotel at trade shows and client entertainment events.
- Initiate and execute the annual Sales & Marketing Plan, adjusting as necessary based on market conditions.
- Organize and/or attend scheduled Sales Department meetings.

**Required Skills/Abilities:**
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Director of Sales & Marketing.
- Hotel sales experience required; Marriott Brand experience is highly desired.
- Corporate Business experience required.
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking) is essential.
