**General Purpose**
The Human Resources Consultant will initiate, implement, and apply human resource processes, policies, and practices that positively impact business activities. This role provides direct HR support for an assigned client group in areas including pay administration, talent management, performance management, leadership, employee development, talent acquisition, organizational change, and employee relations.

**Essential Functions**
- Act as an advisor to management on employee issues and policy interpretation/implementation.
- Coordinate and deliver learning and development activities to enhance workplace competence and performance.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational and HR processes.
- Develop proactive measures to achieve workforce effectiveness.
- Investigate and document issues related to harassment, discrimination, workplace violence, etc., and recommend corrective actions.
- Manage the selection and hiring of individuals to meet the business's talent requirements.
- Participate in and/or manage cross-functional teams or projects related to HR policies, practices, or programs.
- Respond quickly and accurately to employee inquiries regarding workplace policies, compensation, benefits, and development.
- Consult and provide decision-making support in staffing, employee development, performance management, benefits, and compensation needs.
- Conduct surveys and tests of employee satisfaction, commitment, and retention; develop appropriate action plans.
- Collaborate with business leaders to resolve workforce-related issues.
- Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, employee relations, business, or related field.
- Three to five years of successful professional experience in various areas of human resources.
- Demonstrated knowledge in employment law, recruiting, benefits and compensation, employee development, and HR regulatory/statutory environments.
- Proven competencies in coaching, consultation, communication, conflict management, problem-solving, customer service, initiative, follow-up, and organizational skills.
- Experience handling issues with integrity and trust, maintaining high levels of confidentiality.
- Proficient in office automation, communication, and software tools effectively used in the workplace.
