**Role Overview**
The HR Manager at Seaport plays a vital role in shaping the overall employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle. This role will support the development and execution of HR initiatives in talent attraction, acquisition, onboarding, learning and development, employee engagement, and performance management.
**Key Accountabilities**
**Recruitment & Onboarding**
- Own Seaport's employer branding strategy to attract talent.
- Manage full-cycle recruitment processes for all exempt roles, collaborating with hiring managers to identify staffing needs.
- Build and maintain relationships with recruitment agencies, universities, and industry organizations to expand our talent pipeline.
- Streamline and digitize onboarding processes to enhance efficiency.
- Analyze recruitment metrics and trends, providing thought leadership on community engagement strategies.
**Employee Engagement**
- Participate in and recommend strategies for evolving Seaport’s employee engagement approach.
- Design and implement employee listening strategies for regular feedback.
- Analyze engagement data to identify trends and support targeted action plans.
**Talent Management**
- Design performance management processes, including goal setting and performance reviews.
- Facilitate succession planning and career development opportunities for high-potential employees.
- Act as the main point of contact for employee concerns, providing guidance as needed.
**HR Analytics and Reporting**
- Maintain accurate HR records and generate reports for management and compliance.
- Optimize HRIS functionality and drive self-service for employees and managers.
- Support the transition of HR to a metrics-driven function.
**Risk & Compliance**
- Identify compliance issues and consult with legal and HR policy owners.
- Develop a deep understanding of Canadian employment policies and drive necessary updates.
- Create and deliver training content on compliance topics.
**Payroll & Benefits**
- Oversee employee benefits programs and ensure accurate payroll processing.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of HR experience, with a focus on developing HR infrastructure.
- Knowledge of the Canada Labour Code and relevant Employment Standards.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships.
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to travel locally and within Canada up to 15% of the time.
