**Overview:**
Join our team to gain exposure to asset management and groundbreaking analytics. You will work with financial data and implement business logic using SQL to develop analytic tools that support researchers managing the total fund portfolio. This position will enhance your understanding of asset classes and their risk and return characteristics.

**Team Structure:**
- Work alongside 4 other quants and/or software developers.
- Projects are varied in length, ranging from half a day to the full term.
- Report to the Director of Research & Analytics in the Risk department.
- Work location: Toronto head office in a hoteling workspace.
- Flexible hours with no additional travel required.

**Responsibilities:**
- Update financial time series data in an Oracle database using SQL.
- Investigate and resolve spikes, gaps, and overlaps in time series data.
- Interpret financial and accounting data through your investment knowledge.
- Troubleshoot in-house software applications for performance and functionality.
- Conduct research on other investment managers such as endowments and sovereign wealth funds.

**Qualifications:**
- Working knowledge of SQL programming.
- Familiarity with asset classes and their characteristics.
- Strong mathematical skills, particularly in statistics.
- Concentration in Mathematics, Computer Programming, Statistics, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming is an asset.
- Previous co-op or work term experience is preferred.
- Interests in machine learning and AI are a plus.
- Programming skills in C#/Java/C++ are advantageous.
- Must be enrolled in a 3rd or 4th year undergraduate or related Master's program.
- Must be enrolled in a co-op program or returning to studies after the work term.
