**Job Description**
As the Lead Analytics Engineer, you will own the data function at Rewind. You will play a leadership role in designing and maintaining robust data models, ensuring data accessibility, and collaborating with C-level stakeholders to deliver impactful data-driven insights. Your proficiency in SQL, dbt, BigQuery, and expertise in database structures will be essential in optimizing our data infrastructure and enhancing our self-service data product.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
- **Data Modeling and Transformation**: Design, build, and maintain advanced data models utilizing SQL, dbt, and BigQuery to support comprehensive data analytics and reporting requirements.
- **Tech Stack Expertise**: Optimize data queries using SQL and navigate complex data sources, including Stripe, Intercom, and Shopify.
- **Collaboration and Communication**: Serve as the primary point of contact for key data models, offering guidance and support to analysts and team members.
- **Data Governance and Quality Assurance**: Ensure adherence to data governance standards and develop comprehensive data validation procedures.
- **Stakeholder Education and Training**: Educate stakeholders on data best practices and usage guidelines.
**Qualifications**
We are looking for candidates who have 5+ years of experience in a data analytics or data engineering role within a SaaS organization, and who possess:
- 3+ years of experience in data transformation using dbt.
- 3+ years working with CRMs (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Expert knowledge of SQL.
- Proficiency in cloud data warehousing (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to mentor and coach junior team members.
**Additional Information**
Our organization follows a hybrid work structure where employees work from the office three days a week. This role will be based out of our Toronto office.
