**The Role:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to design, create, and implement Java-based solutions ranging from mobile applications to database programming.

**Responsibilities:**
- Write code for proof-of-concepts and prototypes to support solution architecture.
- Develop performance management controls and provide improvement insights.
- Review and define functional and non-functional business requirements, translating them into architectural requirements.
- Lead design, coding, unit testing, and debugging applications in various software languages.
- Develop technical specifications for COTS software and configure products based on specifications.
- Maintain subject matter expertise on functionality and solution architecture.

**Requirements:**
- 7+ years of software development experience.
- Experience managing the delivery of software projects.
- Proficient in Java 11, Spring Boot, Microservices, SQL (NoSQL preferred), and messaging platforms (like Kafka, JMS, MQ).
- Experience with Agile software development practices and tools.
- Familiarity with UNIX, Linux, and Shell scripting.
- Experience with Oracle and MS-SQL databases.
- Banking experience is a plus.

**Salary:**
Base salary for this position in Mississauga, ON is CAD $100k - $110k/year, plus benefits.
