**Position Summary**
The Learning Architect plays a pivotal role in discovering the best educational content to support institutional goals and increase employee learning, development, and performance. In this role, you will lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of learning programs and technologies through Centennial College’s Talent Academy. This role requires building positive and sustainable relationships with internal partners and clients to meet the evolving needs of our diverse learning community. In addition, this role will oversee the work of the Instructional Designers and Learning Specialists, including performance and reporting of assigned work to the instructional designer.
**Responsibilities**
- Build and manage internal relationships through collaboration and consultation on learning needs, LMS (Learning Management System)/related technology tools, innovation sharing, and create meaningful content for the College’s Talent Academy to deliver training goals.
- Lead program development and collaboration with Instructional Designers/e-learning developers to ensure smooth deployment of e-learning content.
- Develop and lead the design process of learning programs that are accessible and inclusive to all diverse learners with varying lived experiences.
- Train, use, and provide technical support to clients on the LMS and related technologies (e.g., LMS, AI, Articulate 360) to support program delivery; maintain LMS catalogues.
- Stay current on industry trends and guide on best practices to meet organizational goals.
- Participate actively on committees, professional associations, department, and college-wide events.
- Lead the development of assessment tools for learning effectiveness and report outcomes to support planning.
- Guide and oversee team members’ performance in developing innovative, scalable learning solutions.
- Use various tools to enhance learning strategies and learner engagement.
- Analyze performance data and report on learning outcomes; make recommendations to enhance learning effectiveness, adapting learning materials to remove barriers that may not be inclusive or accessible.
- Monitor and track e-learning engagement and completion metrics to optimize programs.
**Qualifications/Experience**
- Advanced degree in Education, Learning and Development, Adult Education, or other related field; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Five (5) years of progressive experience working within a learning and development environment, including facilitating formal and/or non-formal learning experiences.
- High commitment and understanding of Indigenous Education, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion principles.
- Demonstrated experience designing online and virtual learning modalities, including the creation of course content and learning resources that are inclusive to all diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent relationship management and collaboration skills.
- Excellent written, oral communication, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated project leadership skills in managing projects from initiation, delivery, and evaluation.
- Proven proficiency with Microsoft Office and e-learning development tools.
- Excellent technical aptitude with the ability to learn and train on new learning technologies.
- Knowledge of adult education principles, learning design, learning outcomes, instructional approaches, and evaluation techniques.
- Demonstrated negotiation, mediation, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in a post-secondary environment is an asset.
