**Job Title: Learning Specialist**

**Location:** Markham, ON (Occasional visits to home office required)

**Reporting to:** VP, Human Resources

**Job Overview:**
The Learning Specialist will be responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating effective learning solutions to enhance employee performance and customer experience. This role collaborates with subject matter experts, managers, and leadership to assess training needs, develop engaging learning content, and ensure alignment with organizational goals. The Learning Specialist is instrumental in fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Partner with department leaders and HR to conduct needs assessments to identify and assess training needs.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive learning plan based on needs assessments and strategic objectives.
- Design and develop learning materials, including instructor-led training, eLearning modules, workshops, and job aids.
- Create online courses and instructional materials using eLearning software.
- Develop curriculum aligned with learning objectives and industry standards.
- Utilize instructional design principles to create interactive, multimedia-rich educational content.
- Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions, ensuring participant engagement.
- Support managers in delivering on-the-job training and coaching programs.
- Measure the effectiveness of learning programs through surveys, feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.
- Manage Learning Management System (LMS), including course uploads and user management.
- Stay informed about emerging learning technologies and recommend innovative tools.

**Key Experience & Qualifications:**
- 3-5 years of experience in learning and development, instructional design, or corporate training.
- Proven experience designing and delivering training in a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
- Proficiency in eLearning software and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Knowledge of multimedia tools (e.g., video editing, graphic design).
- Excellent facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
