**About the Role**
The Legal Assistant will support the Tarion Law department, which focuses on operational functions, support, and policy development. This position involves administrative duties related to dispute resolution, document management, and the preparation of legal materials. This is a hybrid role, requiring in-office work two days a week and three days remote.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide clerical support with document management, scheduling, and tracking file status and deadlines.
- Prepare materials for court, the Licence Appeal Tribunal, and the Builder Arbitration Forum.
- Maintain records, statistics, and databases for departmental performance and reporting.
- Coordinate the Licence Appeal Tribunal and Builder Arbitration Forum processes.
- Review reserve setting and claim payments to ensure compliance with procurement protocols.
**Qualifications:**
- College diploma in Legal Assistant, Law Clerk, or a related discipline.
- At least five years’ experience in a civil litigation environment.
- Strong knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure.
- Proficiency in all MS Office programs.
- Excellent planning, organization, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Proactive working style with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining confidentiality.
