**Position Summary**
**Manager, Volunteer Services**
The Manager of Volunteer Services will oversee the day-to-day operational needs of NYGH in Volunteer Services. This role requires effective critical thinking, relationship-building, and communication with hospital partners, volunteers, and staff. You will manage the full Volunteer Development Cycle, ensuring the success and engagement of volunteers while meeting the organization’s growth goals through innovative approaches.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Lead all aspects of the Volunteer Development Cycle, including department planning, staff management, volunteer education, and performance recognition.
- Compile and analyze departmental statistical information to support operations.
- Ensure compliance with legal and organizational policies, including AODA and Human Rights.
- Collaborate with program leaders to develop and evaluate volunteer programming.
- Participate in hospital-wide initiatives and support the Leadership Team's objectives.
- Mentor and coach the volunteer services team to align contributions with organizational goals.
- Manage the volunteer recognition program to foster a culture of appreciation.

**Qualifications:**
- Post-Secondary Education: Bachelor’s Degree and/or Three-Year Diploma with relevant experience.
- CVRM designation and membership in a related professional association is an asset.
- Certificate in Volunteer Management preferred.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience managing or leading a team.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a volunteer services environment.
- Hospital environment experience is an asset.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Proven experience implementing the Volunteer Development Cycle.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and database management (Better Impact preferred).
- Bilingualism in French/English is an asset.
