**About the Role:**
The Manager, Compliance will lead Compliance initiatives within the highly regulated environment of OPTrust. This position involves compliance monitoring, managing the OPTrust compliance program, and developing compliance reporting. The Manager will oversee a Compliance Analyst and act as the primary contact for compliance policies and procedures.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Support and administer the Regulatory Compliance Management program including risk assessments and monitoring of business line controls.
- Manage compliance policies and procedures, including the Code of Conduct.
- Coordinate with Legal Services on compliance policy implementation for international offices.
- Oversee compliance incident management and ensure adequate investigations and remediation plans.
- Implement and operationalize the investment compliance program.
- Assist in maintaining the broader Compliance Framework and collaborate across various functions including Legal, IT, Finance, and People.
- Provide regular and ad hoc compliance reporting to senior management.
- Foster a risk-conscious culture through training, orientation programs, and effective communication.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory developments.
**What You Bring:**
- 8-10 years of senior compliance experience in financial services or investment environments.
- Post-secondary education with knowledge of pension and investment concepts.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with an interest in development.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentation.
- Proven analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong judgment and discretion in handling confidential matters.
- Ability to build positive relationships across the organization.
