**Purpose**
Contributes to the overall success of the Adjudication Centre of Expertise / Global Operations in Canada, ensuring individual goals, plans, and initiatives are executed in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities are conducted in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Review credit applications requiring an exception for Retail Branches, Private Banking, Indirect Mortgage and Indirect Auto, and Small Business.
- Provide high-quality and in-depth credit decisions by effectively analyzing partner submissions and application information.
- Ensure consistent application of policies and processes to credit decisions, adhering to regulatory requirements.
- Exercise advanced credit judgement in approving and declining credit applications within established limits.
- Document rationale for every credit decision, including assessment of the applicable 5 Cs of credit.
- Deliver an effective and timely customer experience by maintaining professional interactions and providing recommendations.
- Coach and guide partners on credit applications as required.
**Accountabilities**
- Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships.
- Achieve established Service Level Agreements targets consistently.
- Contribute to continuous improvement through Lean management activities.
- Ensure decisions are replicable and transparent with appropriate rationale.
- Identify and escalate any compliance-related issues, operating within the Bank’s risk framework.
**Skills and Experience**
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Bank’s products and services.
- Expertise in Bank lending policies, financial analysis, credit structuring, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven credit judgement with strong analytical and problem resolution skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a high-volume environment and make effective decisions.
- Experience in working within a Lean environment is an asset.
