**Overview:**

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Access, review, and adjudicate short-term disability claims by gathering relevant confidential information and medical documentation.
- Manage Workplace Safety & Insurance Board (WSIB) claims and the return-to-work process.
- Conduct case assessments involving employees and management to explain the disability management process.
- Develop an understanding of each case, identifying factors inhibiting successful return to work.
- Review job demands and identify suitable work for employees.
- Determine appropriate return-to-work plans in collaboration with employees and management.
- Research assistive devices and innovative accommodation solutions.
- Liaise with medical professionals regarding case management.
- Oversee the Attendance Awareness program and manage the Employee Immunization & Communicable Disease Verification program.
- Provide statistical data and promote health and safety awareness.
**Qualifications:**
- Registered healthcare professional (e.g., nurse, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, kinesiologist) in good standing with the applicable regulatory body.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Disability Claims Management, preferably in healthcare or the public sector.
- Professional designations (e.g., Certified Disability Management Professional) are an asset.
- Advanced experience in attendance and disability claims management, IPAC knowledge.
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation (e.g., Occupational Health and Safety Act, Workplace Safety and Insurance Act).
- Experience with claims management in a unionized environment.
- Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Bilingual in French and English is considered an asset.

**Salary:** $79,285 to $94,671
